This lot is derived from the Boma washing station in Kericho County. The Boma washing station is surrounded by the nutrient rich soil from the Kericho tea plantation. There are 360 members of the washing station, roughly ⅓ of which are women. Most coffee producers in the region use SL or Ruiru as they are the opportune varietals for the soil of the area. The beans are dried for 14-17 days, then washed in accordance with traditional processing. The end result produces a coffee with a clean profile accented with vibrant citrus notes.
